Merrimack-----Mrs. Laura M. Gould, 78, of 106 Amherst Road, died at the St. Joseph Hospital, Nashua on Sunday, October 20, 2002. Mrs. Gould was the widow of Kendrick A. Gould who died in 1963.
Mrs. Gould was born September 28, 1924 in Laconia, NH, the daughter of Charles J. and Bernice M. (Spooner) Noakes. She graduated from Laconia High School and from the Laconia School of Nursing. Mrs. Gould was a long time resident of Nashua, moving to Merrimack six years ago.
Mrs. Gould was employed as a surgical nurse at the Memorial Hospital in Nashua for 25 years. She then worked for Dr. Robert O&Mac226;Neil in Nashua for 15 years and later for Dr. Robert Levesque in Nashua for 10 years, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Olive N. Varrell of Goffstown, NH; three nieces, Alyce Mae and her husband, Donald A. Bolduc, of Merrimack with whom Mrs. Gould made her home; Alyce Mae Lambert of Merrimack; and Cynthia Noakes of South Carolina; one nephew, Walter Varrell, Jr. of Hopkinton, NH; 17 grandnephews and grandnieces; and 18 great grandnephews and great grandnieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 26, 2002 at 1:00PM at Union Cemetery, Academy Street, Laconia, NH.
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Parish Nurse&Mac226;s Program (Providing free blood pressure screening and referral services to parishioners) of Our Lady of Mercy.
