Laconia------Elmer Constant, 82, of 18 Harrison Street, Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Tuesday, October 26, 2004.
Mr. Constant was born July 14, 1922 in Meredith, NH the son of Edmund and Fern C. (Baker) Constant. Mr. Constant was a lifelong resident of Lakeport and was employed at Laconia Malleable Iron Co. for over forty years. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Constant was a former member of the Laconia Lodge of Elks #876. He was an avid Harley rider.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-one years, Alberta J. (Hall) Constant of Lakeport; two sons, Roy Constant of Meredith and Allen Constant of Plymouth, NH; a daughter, Esther Graffam of Gray, Maine; two brothers, Leeander Constant of Belmont and Herbert Constant of Laconia; eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and close family friends, Jim & Wendy Ferricy of Laconia.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2004 from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A funeral service will be held in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2004 at 10:00AM.
Burial will follow in the family lot at Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
