Belmont-----Sheryl L. Merrill, 57, of Gilmanton Road, Belmont and formerly of East Hebron, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Sunday, October 23, 2005. She was the widow of Walter G. Merrill, Jr. who died September 8, 2002.
Mrs. Merrill was born March 25, 1948 in Manchester, NH, the daughter of Earl O. and Phyllis (Brown) Anderson. She was a longtime resident of Laconia and graduated from Laconia High School in 1966. She attended Fisher Junior College in Boston, MA and was employed as a nurse’s aide at the St. Francis Nursing Home. She was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church.
Mrs. Merrill is survived by her sister, Daun M. Anderson, of Boston, MA and by a niece. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her father, Earl O. Anderson, in 1986 and by her mother, Phyllis B. Anderson, on September 3, 2005.
There will be no calling hours.
A joint Graveside Service for Mrs. Merrill and Mrs. Anderson will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 11:00AM at the family lot in McClary Cemetery, Center Hill Road, Epsom, NH. Rev. Dr. Warren H. Bouton, Pastor of the Laconia Congregational Church, will officiate.
