Wyomissing, Penn.-----Barbara A. Picard, 84, formerly of Laconia, NH, died at the Highlands Skilled Nursing on Monday, October 10, 2005. She was the widow of Frank G. Picard who died in 1979.
Mrs. Picard was born November 2, 1920 in Maine, the daughter of Mervin and Julia (Littlefield) Ames. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH and received her master’s degree from Plymouth Teachers College (now Plymouth State University), Plymouth, NH.
Mrs. Picard was a math and science teacher at Laconia High School, Laconia, NH for twenty years, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol P. Robinson of Oley, PA; a son, Bruce F. Picard, of Summerfield, Florida; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH. The Reverend Hays Junkins, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church, will officiate.
