Gilmanton-----Carol V. Stockbridge, 71, of 485 Meeting House Road, died at the Franklin Regional Hospital Franklin on Saturday, October 21, 2006.
Mrs. Stockbridge was born November 27, 1934 in Ellsworth, Maine, the daughter of Joseph B. and Cora J. (Bracy) Higgins.
Mrs. Stockbridge was caretaker of the Smith Meeting House Cemetery for twenty-one years. She enoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include her three sisters, Doris Huntoon of California and June Smith and Marilyn Lemay both of Belmont, NH; her companion, Carl Stockbridge, of Gilmanton and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry E. Stockbridge, and by her two brothers, Ronald Higgins and Cilfton Higgins.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, NH on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at 2:30PM. The Rev. Linda B. Bolton, Pastor of the Gilmanton Community Church, will officiate.
