Belmont-----John E. Benton, 84, of Johnson Street died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia on Wednesday, October 25, 2006.
Mr. Benton was born December 28, 1921 in Campton, NH, the son of the late Albert and Alma E. Benton. Mr. Benton was a long time resident of Laconia before moving to Belmont in 2001. He was employed at Scott & Williams for fifty years, retiring in 1990.
There are no known survivors.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at 10:00AM at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247.
