Belmont------Stephen A. Jackes, 54, of 88 Range Road, died at his home on Friday, October 6, 2006.
Mr. Jackes was born July 16, 1952 in Sanford, Maine, the son of Robert E. and Kitty (Stefanopoulos) Jackes.
He lived in Tilton, NH before moving to Belmont twenty-eight years ago.
Mr. Jackes was employed at Hebert Manufacturing for over thirty years. He was an advocate of local scouting and was a Committee Chairman for many years and was also an assistant Scout Master.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian “Dee” (Peters) Jackes; two sons, Brian Jackes and his wife, Jennifer, and Dennis Jackes and a daughter, Katie Jackes, all of Belmont; his father, Robert E. Jackes, of Laconia; four sisters, Judith Wetherbee, of Florida, Paula Jackes, of Vermont and Bobbie Brooks and Janice Blackey both of Laconia; one nephew and three nieces. He was predeceased by his mother, Kitty Jackes, and by a sister, Suzie Jackes.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 9, 2006 from 4:00-6:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 1l:00AM at the family lot in Park Cemetery, Tilton, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Health & Hospice, Inc., 780 North Main Street, Laconia, NH.
Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH is in charge of the arrangements.
