Laconia-----Charlotte P. Tourigny, 76, of 51 Durkee Street, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Mrs. Tourigny was the widow of Normand J. Tourigny who died August 11, 2001.
Mrs. Tourigny was born June 2, 1930 in Clinton, MA, the daughter of Roland J. and Doris (Towle) Avery. She resided in Moultonboro for several years before moving to Sandwich. In 1956, she moved to Laconia.
Mrs. Tourigny was employed as a waitress and hostess at Hart’s Turkey Farm Restaurant in Meredith as well as other restaurants in the local area. She was later employed at Vernitron.
Mrs. Tourigny loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and baking.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas Peaslee and his wife, Susanne, of Gilmanton Iron Works, Charles Peaslee of Kissimmee, Florida and Normand Tourigny, Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Sanbornton; two daughters, Linda Plourde and her husband, Armand, of Gilford and Yvonne Taylor and her husband, Michael, of Londonderry; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Norma McCormack of Colebrook and Beverly Clifford, of Moultonboro and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Lauris Avery and Richard Avery.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, October 16, 2006 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia, NH.
