Edna Ardell Stone

Laconia, NH-----Edna Ardell Stone, 93, of 21 Ledges Drive, died at the Taylor Community on Sunday, October 14, 2007.

Mrs. Stone was born November 5, 1913 in Lyman, NH, the daughter of Frank and Etta (Brent) Sherman.  Mrs. Stone was the widow of Clarence D. Stone who died in 1984.

Mrs. Stone lived in Swanzey, NH for a number of years before moving to Laconia five years ago.  Mrs. Stone was a member of the First Congregational Church of Swanzey. She was also a member of the Old Homestead Makeup and Costume Committee. She enjoyed knitting, rug braiding, sewing, quilting and crafts.

Mrs. Stone always loved being surrounded by her family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Douglas Stone, and his wife, Angela, of Laconia; three grandchildren, Marti Ilg and her husband Robert J. of Gilford, Lauri Stone of Meredith, and Jodi Totten and her husband William of Gilford; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

There will be no calling hours.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the family Lot in the Mountain View Cemetery, Swanzey, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church of Swanzey, PO Box 10041, Old Homestead Highway, Swanzey, NH, 03446.
