Elizabeth "Betty" Soldi

Laconia-----Elizabeth “Betty” Soldi, 75, of 25 Union Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, October 14, 2009.

Betty was born January 4, 1934 in Glen Cove, New York, the daughter of Patrick and Ethel (DeRancy) Loughman. She resided in Bridgeport, Connecticut for most of her life before moving to Laconia in May, 2009.
She had been employed by Dictaphone Corp. for thirty years.

Betty was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and was always helping out her friends and neighbors. She enjoyed writing letters to family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Richard E. Soldi, of Laconia; a daughter, Betsy Weller, and her husband, David, both of Laconia; four grandchildren, Erin Weller, Brianna Beaupre, LCPL Padraic Weller and Hannah Weller, all of Laconia; three great grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Loughman, of Bridgeport, Connecticut and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Soldi was predeceased by a brother, Patrick B. Loughman, Jr., and by a sister, Kathleen Grosso.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 6:00-8:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia N. H.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia, N. H.

Burial will follow in the family lot in St. Lambert Cemetery, Laconia, N. H.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made the Laconia High School Band, c/o Deb Gibson, Director, Laconia High School, 345 Union Avenue, Laconia, N. H. 03246.
