Laconia-----A Memorial Service for Helen M. (Hoyt) Terris will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 11:00AM at the Sanbornton Congregational Church UCC, Sanbornton Square, Sanbornton, N.H.
Mrs. Terris , 88, formerly of 193 Pleasant Street, died at Genesis Eldercare Network-Laconia Center, on Sunday, August 9, 2009.
Mrs. Terris was a longtime member of the Laconia Altrusa Club.
Mrs. Terris is survived by three daughters, Rev. Patricia Terris Mayo, of Laconia, Carol Terris of Washington, D. C., Deputy Director of Budget for the Environmental Protection Agency, and Diane Terris and her husband, Harry Beck III, of Port Charlotte, Florida; one grandson, Les Terris, of Uithoorn, Holland; a brother, “Buddy” Donald Hoyt, of Rindge, N.H. and his children, Karen, Jeff and Billy and a sister, Marion Hoyt, of Albuquerque, New Mexico and two nieces, Linda and Susan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, George “Skip” E. Terris, in 2000.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Laconia Public Library, 695 Main Street, Laconia, N.H. 03246 or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Pantry, 1269 Union Avenue, Lakeport, N.H. 03246.
