Gilford, NH-----Ralph Cutillo, 78, of Loch Lane, Gilford, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Laconia, after a short illness, on Friday, September 13, 2002.
Mr. Cutillo was born in Mansfield, MA, April 4, 1924 the son of Pelligrino and Erminia (Tolentino) Cutillo. He graduated from Mansfield High School, and attended Brown University.
Mr. Cutillo served in the US Navy as a fighter pilot in WWII and Korea.
Mr. Cutillo was an entrepreneur. He developed a number of hotels and condominiums. He had lived in Raynham, MA for many years. He owned and operated the Stone Bridge Inn in Tiverton, R.I. for a number of years. In 1968 he purchased the Steele Hill Inn in Sanbornton, NH and developed the 520 acres. In 1977 the Cutillo family brought Timesharing to Steele Hill . He was a member of the ARDA in Washington, DC. He had received the Melvin Jones Fellow from the Mansfield, MA Lions Club.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of The Lakes Church, Lakeport.
Survivors include his wife, of 56 years, Lola (Valentini) Cutillo of Gilford; 2 sons Stephen W. Cutillo of Gilford and William F. Cutillo of Sanbornton; 3 grandchildren Catherine Cutillo of New Orleans, Louisiana, Douglas Cutillo of Madrid, Spain and Justin Cutillo of Sanbornton; a brother Joseph Cutillo of Mansfield, MA; 2 sisters Jennie Frances Dimmitt of North Attleboro, MA and Claire Lemieux of Brandenton, Fla.; a nephew and 4 nieces.
Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH, Monday, September 16, 2002 from 6-9 PM using the Carriage House entrance.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH Tuesday at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Sanbornton, NH.
