Gilmanton-----Lucy M. Curtis, 70, of 372 Province Road died at Genesis Eldercare Network-Laconia Center on Friday, September 17, 2004.

Miss Curtis was born March 11, 1934 in Meredith, NH the daughter of Herman and Marguerite Curtis. Her mother was a former school nurse in Meredith and would often bring Lucy to school with her.

Miss Curtis lived in Gilmanton for twenty-three years and was a member of the Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church for twenty years. Miss Curtis loved animals and would volunteer at the New Hampshire Humane Society. She was involved with Easter Seals and the Special Olympics. Miss Curtis worked for Shop & Save in Tilton for four years and later worked for Easter Seals. She retired in 2002.

Miss Curtis is survived by her caregivers for the last twenty-four years, Jane and Charles Gove of Gilmanton.

There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at 6:00PM at the Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church, Loudon, NH. Pastor Steve Ludwick, Pastor of the Church, will officiate. Coffee and dessert will follow the memorial service. Burial will be in the family lot in Village Cemetery, Meredith, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Loudon Ridge Family Bible Church, 694 Loudon Ridge Road, Loudon, NH 03307.
