Gilmanton Iron Works-----Harvey S. Kelley, 77, of Middle Rte, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia, on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. He was the widow of Mary (Moulton) Kelley who died July 22, 1989.
Mr. Kelley was born December 24, 1926 in North Troy, Vermont, the son of Ernest and Amy (Andrews) Kelley. Mr. Kelley lived in Laconia, NH for many years before moving to Gilmanton Iron Works forty-six years ago. He worked at the Laconia Shoe Company for thirty-years. He later worked for Unico for two years and then worked at the Barnstead Elementary School for nine years, retiring in 1998.
Survivors include his children, twins, Donna McGrath of Sanbornton, NH and Donald Kelley, of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Celon Kelley of Gilmanton, NH; three sisters, Eloise Burt, Phyllis Drury and Norma Ulary all of Laconia, NH and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of thirty-eight years, Mary (Moulton) Kelley, by three sisters, Grace Randall, Edith Fillion and Bernice Santerre and by three brothers, Fred Kelley, Melvin Kelley and Robert Kelley.
There will be no calling hours.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 2:00PM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Park Cemetery, Tilton, NH.
