Laconia-----Marie-Louise Paradise, 100, formerly of Beaman Street and Paradise Drive, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 7, 2004. She was the widow of Napoleon J. Paradise who died in 1991.
Mrs. Paradise was born November 27, 1903 in St.Theophile, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Anthoney and Artemise (Vigneault) Hebert. She lived in Canada until the age of 17 then she moved to New Hampshire.
Mrs. Paradise was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Laconia, NH. She was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart, Canado, and Dame De Saint Ann for many years.
Mrs. Paradise loved her home on Beaman Street. She was a happy lady and all through the years she would sing every day while she was doing her housework. Mrs. Paradise was the family nurturer.
Survivors include two sons, Maurice J. Paradise of Lakeport, NH and Lionel Paradise of Gilford, NH; two daughters, Rose M. Mastine, of Laconia, NH and Yvonne Hale of Meredith, NH; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Hebert and Ernest Hebert, a sister, Alice Hebert Paradise, and a grandson, John L. Paradise.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10:00 AM. Rev. Adrien Longchamps, Pastor of the church, will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John L. Paradise Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Lakes Region Scholarship Fund, PO Box 7312, Gilford, NH 03247.
