Wendell K. Reisch

Laconia----Wendell K. Reisch, 91, of Laconia died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Mr. Reisch was the widower of Doris (Poirier)Reisch who died in 2002.

Mr. Reisch was born March 23, 1913 in Gorham, NH, the son of Joseph and Ruby (Hatch) Reisch. He was raised in Gorham and graduated from Berlin High School in 1931. He served in the U. S. Navy during WWII. Mr. Reisch was a long time resident of Laconia. He was a Sergeant with the Laconia Police Department where he worked twenty-seven years before retiring in 1973.

Mr. Reisch was a member of St. James Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Laconia Post 1670, a member of the New Hampshire Police Association and a member of the Retired Police Association.

Survivors include a sister, Albertine Burgess, of Berlin, NH and a sister-in-law, Thelma Thompson, of Portland, Maine. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a nephew, Warren Burgess.

A Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the family lot in Evans Cemetery, Gorham, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH 03301.
