Laconia------Allan C. Jones, Sr., 76, of 238 Gilford Avenue, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2005. He was the widower of Constance Jean (Campbell) Jones who died in 1998.
Mr. Jones was born May 5, 1929 in Medford, MA the son of George and Marion (Frost) Jones. He lived in Somerville, Mass for several years before moving to Laconia 25 years ago. He was an apprentice at the Watson Funeral Home in Cambridge, MA. After moving to Laconia, he was employed at the Laconia Shoe Company and the Laconia Citizen.
Mr. Jones loved to play cribbage and cards and enjoyed making puzzles.
Survivors include a son, Allan C. Jones, Jr., of Laconia, NH; four daughters, Karen Dognazzi of Foxboro, MA, Donna Mercier of Waterville, Maine, Sandra Page of Belmont, NH and Nancy Jones of Laconia, NH; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Lloyd Jones of Concord, NH and Sebert Jones of Massachusetts; two sisters, Avis Plante of Pittsfield, NH and Verna D’Ambra of Chelmsford, MA and several nephews and nieces.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 from 7:00-9:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, on Friday, September 30, 2005 at 10:00AM.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery, Laconia, NH.
