MEREDITH, NH----- Larry L. Mostoller, 65, of 50 Patrician Shores Circle, died Friday, September 9, 2005 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
He was born on August 9, 1940, in Greensburg, PA, the son of the late Paul and Anna (Spangler) Mostoller. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and he earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a graduate of Upsala College in East Orange, NJ, where he was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity, and he was employed as a financial manager at Ford Motor Company for seven years, and Digital Equipment Corporation for 18 years. He was actively involved in civic affairs in his former community of Bolton, MA, and served as a member of both the Board of Selectmen and the School Committee. In 1998, he moved to his longtime summer home in Meredith, where he worked as a landscaper until the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Carole (Miffitt) Mostoller; a sister, MaryAnn Wilkens of Lighthouse Point, FL; sons David Mostoller and his wife Danielle of Alton Bay, and Matthew Mostoller of Waltham, MA; daughter Amy MacDougall and her husband Daniel of Norwood, MA; and his beloved grandchildren Lucas and Teagan Mostoller of Alton Bay; and Meghan and Benjamin MacDougall of Norwood.
He was predeceased by a brother, Paul Mostoller.
An informal celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 14 at 3:00 p.m. on the beach at Patrician Shores in Meredith.
