Maurice J. Gilbert

Dover – A Graveside Service for Maurice J. Gilbert, 67, of St. Thomas St. will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 10:00AM at the Johnson Cemetery, Lower Bay Road, Sanbornton.  Rev. Gary Kosmowski, Pastor of St. Joseph Church, Laconia, will officiate.

Mr. Gilbert died Sunday August 13, 2006 at his home after a period of failing health.

Born in Laconia on October 11, 1938 the son of Eugene and Marie (Maheux) Gilbert. He grew up in Laconia and attended schools there. He moved to Dover more than 40 years ago.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy (Chevalier) Gilbert, three children, Cynthia and Michael both of Dover, Gregory of California, a grandson Michael of California, four brothers Laurent Gilbert and Leo Gilbert both of Belmont, Armand Gilbert of Laconia, Roger Gilbert of Sanbornton; three sisters, Marguerite Gilbert Walker of Laconia, Grace Gilbert Abbott of Tennessee and Alice Gilbert Brown of Gilford and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents two brothers Robert Gilbert and Arthur Gilbert and three sisters Cecile Gilbert Flynn, Rhina Gilbert LaBrun and Stella Gilbert Marsh predeceased him.
