Joan A. Smith 

Meredith-----Joan A. Smith, 77, died at Genesis Eldercare, Laconia on Sunday, September 23, 2007.

Mrs. Smith was born July 14, 1933 in Troy, New York, the daughter of William F. and Ruth E. (Moench) LaCross.  She was a long time resident of the Lakes Region and was employed at Allen Rogers for over twenty-seven years.

Mrs. Smith enjoyed collecting clocks and antiquing with her husband.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two sons, Alan Avery and Bryan Avery, both of South Carolina; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; a sister, Ruth Cira, of New Hampshire; four nephews and a niece; and dear friend and neighbor Sue Blake and family of Meredith, NH.  Mrs. Smith was predeceased by her husband, Lee E. Smith, a few hours earlier on September 22, 2007.

A calling hour for Mr. & Mrs. Smith will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 10:00-11:00AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N. H.

Their Funeral Service will follow the calling hour at 11:00AM also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith, N. H.
