Thomas E. Marcoux “You made our pipe dreams come true” Tom lived most of his life in Laconia/Lakeport before moving to Gilford nine years ago. He graduated from Laconia High School in 1967 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a master plumber for over thirty years, was a member of the NH Plumbers Association and owned and operated Marcoux Plumbing & Heating. Tom loved his family, watching his grandson’s sports, playing pool and woodworking. He was a hard worker and took pride in caring for his lawn, garden and yard. Survivors include his wife of thirty-seven years, Nancy J. (Otto) Marcoux, of Gilford; a son, Alan Marcoux, of Northfield; a daughter, Alix Marcoux, of Cambridge, Mass.; a grandson, Seth Marcoux, of Laconia; four sisters, Pauline Hietala and her husband, John, of Brighton, Minnesota; Jeannette Worcester and her husband, Thomas, of Merrimack, Beatrice Emond and her husband, Mike, of Laconia and Doris Federspiel and her husband, Ralph, of Gilford; six nieces and three nephews. He was predeceased by his parents. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 2:00-4:00pm in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. A Memorial Gathering for all those who wish to celebrate Tom’s life will also be held on Friday at 5:00PM at the family home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, N.H. 03756-0001. |
